I have always enjoyed my visits to Dr. Gunning's office. I like that he really listens my concerns and takes note of what treatments have worked for me in the past. Instead of initiating the standard regimented treatment program to decide where on the "scale" you fall. Being over 60 years old, I like that he appreciates that I am familiar with what treatments my skin responds to. And that I'm not the dermatologic guinea pig of my teens and 20's. In 2016, Dr. Gunning probably helped to save my life by diagnosing a scalp condition as having developed MRSA. My chief complaint that week was itchy scalp. I saw my PCP's assistant on Monday and again on Wednesday because it started hurting. Monday she said it was dandruff; Wednesday she said it was eczema. On Friday I was in pain and the scaling was smelly. I refused to see the assistant and demanded to see my PCP. My PCP called Dr. Gunning to ask if he could see me immediately.
