I've lived here for a year and I like the neighborhood. The other tenants are quiet, some families and some single households. It's nice to have a gate to feel more secure but the area doesn't feel dangerous but of course I've heard of prowlers around so it's nice to have some peace of mind. There's a great little park on the block and delicious ethnic restaurants nearby, plus a great dog park that's close also public transit and short commute uptown. I found an apartment for half of what I was paying in Capital Hill, I was wary from the reviews but the apartment is newly redone and I've been here for a month and exactly 0 cars have been broken into, on my old block it was a couple a night.

They raised my rent so high in Seattle I had no choice but to move. This was the only place in my price range. I was a little scared of reviews but when I got here the apartment was freshly painted and clean. The manager checked me in pleasant. The gates make me feel safe. I haven't seen or heard of any cars broken into unlike my old neighborhood. This place is definitely worth a look.

Do not ever move to these apartments. It used to be a Lodging Studios in the past and they're now renting them as One-Bedrooms. However, there are many more problems. The management are incompetent since there's always a new property manager. They don't have their own Maintenance or Trash collection and hire cheap guys. The mailboxes are always broken into by thieves and so on. It's wise to pay little more money and rent a better place.
