One of the best bowls of New England clam chowder I've ever had, and it is one of my favorites - have eaten it coast to coast. We arrived for lunch at 1 p.m. on a Wednesday - no one there. Only seats 10. Nice chat with the owner/chef. A hidden jewel.
When in Bandon, Oregon a must visit to Sea Star Bistro. Situated on the corner across from the visitors tourism shop. The owner believes in a family atmosphere of dedicated service. The clam chowder has big chunks of clams with no sand particles in it, then add a flavorful sandwich on top of it! It's a little hidden garden and we will be back!
We waited almost 30 minutes for our food and paid $50+ for fish tacos, a BLT, and macaroni and cheese. The food was good, but not worth what we paid and not worth the half hour wait.
It's a fantastic little place to chill out and have a great meal !!
