It's a tradition to eat here. Food is tasty and comes out quickly and the staff is very nice! Reasonably priced.
First of all we could valet our car, a real help in cramped quarters. The wait staff was friendly-helpful in that wonderful southern way. Our order came to us very quickly, we commented on how quick and our waitress told us because of their volume they could put out orders very quickly. The food was hot, we had the fried seafood platters. Now we're from Maine and appreciate GOOD fried seafood and Sea and Suds is the place we've been missing since we moved from Maine. YUM! Great place to eat and the service was excellent!! View on the deck was awesome!
Food was great. We got the seafood platter and split it. It was a good price. However, we the frozen drinks were listed on the menu for $5.45 and on the ticket they said $10 each. The cashier said it was because they came in a souvenir cup. We were not asked if we wanted the cup nor did we even see it on the menu or told there was an up charge. This made us mad.
We've been eating at Sea-n-Suds since 1984, and it's as good as ever. The menu has barely changed since then (well, except the prices) and the shrimp and oyster sandwiches and the gumbo are as tasty now as then. The place was super busy tonight, but the wait was reasonable, the service was quick, and our server was pleasant. Can't ask for more. Still our favorite "dive" in Gulf Shores.

I heard about this restaurant from a friend that said it was AMAZING. For me, it was okay. LOTS of fried food. We waited for about 20 minutes at 6 p.m. or so. Once seated, it took quite awhile for our server to come over to our table. My husband and I got the salad bar with our meal, and it was mediocre. My fried shrimp were good, fries were cold but pretty good. My daughter and son both ordered a 1/2 combo-fried oysters and fried crab claws. NOT good choices.
