Generally, unimpressed with Sea Level in Salem. Having made a reservation we were seated immediately and felt pressed for drink decisions before previewing the drink menu. Very good selection of beers (including Bent Water Brewing Co.). Ordered the mussels for appetizer and 75% of them were still closed when served. Told our server and she offered to replace them or bring something else but we said no. She took them off the bill. This place wasn’t bad but in my time here, I’ve been to far better places. Service was mediocre and food was good. Learned that there are different kind of oysters and I tried them all. That was delicious.
Had a drink and appetizers there. Both the shrimp cocktail and pickled pear salad were outstanding. The service was great. All with a beautiful view.

What a great find this place is! Stopped in while wandering the town on vacation last week. I wish I remembered our waitress’ name... she was so sweet and helpful! The oysters were (of course) amazing! Fried pickles... yes please! And the fish tacos were yummy too! Love it and will definitely be back next time we’re in Salem!
I would recommend the Sea Level as a wonderful place to eat, enjoy the view, and just relax by the water. The staff was friendly and accomodating, our server, Caleb was very attentive, and as busy as he was, took the time to recommend choices off the menu and chat a little. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. I can't wait to come back!
