Excellent lunch experience! Enormous portions - took home half my lunch and my appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops was a superb value for $6. Will definitely visit again.
I have been dining here for over 12 years. This last visit will be my last. This restaurant is definitly going down hill. We were seated in a booth in the bar area (never sat in here before and thought it was more intimate and quiet, untill I actually sat. The seats are awkwardly placed to far from the table to be comfortable. The napkins were dirty and needed to be replaced. Punched out pollack is not scallops. Lobster bisque has lobster in it, not faux crab and more pollack. Salt is a seasoning, not a flavor. Listing one thing on a menu, and then serving something fake in its place, is fraud. Fraud for profit is theft. Flavorless, false food...... RUN, don't walk, away from this place.What a shame.
So after experiencing a problematic lunch here a few months ago I returned again yesterday deciding to give it another try, To my pleasant surprise I had a wonderful lunch starting with a great new England clam chowder full of fresh clam flavor + lightly breaded fried calamari appetizer cooked to nutty perfection + a delicious fried fisherman's platter.
