We were instructed to arrive 30 minutes early for our appointment, which was scheduled for 4:30. Although we arrived at 4:08, only 8 minutes should have been deducted from our 75-minute session. Instead, approximately 30 minutes were taken away. We were told to go there 30 minutes prior while we did show up at 4:08 (our appointment was at 4:30) we should have only gotten 8 minutes taken from our 75 minutes but instead had about 30 minutes taken out of our time. To make the situation worse there is a 4mph zone that takes about 10-15 minutes and you go through that time twice to go into the ocean and to come back so you also lose about 25 minutes from that. Super fun afternoon on the water. Easy to drive boat, friendly staff, beautiful views of SD. We found 1 hour 15 mins to not be quite long enough, it takes about 20 mins to get to the less than 5mph zone and 20 min back, which only gives you about 30 mins to enjoy the bay. We can’t wait to go back!

I recently went on a boat ride with SD Adventures, and it was a great experience. Just follow the directions, watch the video, and give yourself enough time to return on schedule. When in the marina, keep your speed at 4 MPH to avoid a ticket. Also, note that there’s a **$500 insurance deductible** when paying for the rental.
