I first hired Brent Sorenson shortly after he started his company, SCS. At the time I think he was the owner and the sole employee. Over the years I have returned to Brent for small and large jobs including a fireplace surround, vinyl plank flooring, replacement of an old deck with a screen room, and finishing of a basement room. We had a fantastic experience working with SCS Building and Repair. Their communication was excellent from start to finish—clear, timely, and always professional. The crew on-site was hardworking, respectful, and efficient. This was a big job - they had to come, tear out all of the flooring of our entire lower level, cut out a foot of drywall and studs and prep it for new drain tile done by another company, then when that was finished, they came back to replace the drywall and studs and lay all new flooring. We hired SCS Building & Remodeling to repair a backsplash that was badly damaged by a stone installer. They also retiled an area that was exposed after we replaced the microwave. I thought this was a tricky job because of cutting out drywall in strips and fitting in replacement vintage tiles that were not the same exact size as the existing tile. Replaced our porch's combination screens with double pane windows and a screen door for an insulated steel exterior door. My 3 season porch became a very nice, warm insulated year-round space. We love the work quality and staff efficiency of SCS! Reasonably priced, too.
High quality work. You pay for it, but really get what you pay for. I had some beautificaiton work that needed doing in my (finished) basement. I needed to cover the maintenance port for my furnace with a door in a really awkward size and location, and cover my breaker box with a panel to make it look nicer. The guy who came by did fast, and high quality work, and left the place very clean.
