The billing department is horrendous! They will bill you for an office visit AND an annual physical for the same visit if you even discuss a medical issue or concern that has been diagnosed and discussed previously. That would be considered “a new or chronic” issue which is not allowed to be discussed during an annual physical. My experience with Angel Ochoa – My former PCP in Escondido Scripps. I have had a total of 6 medical appointments with Dr. Ochoa. During my first appointment he was very professional, nice, helpful and made me feel welcomed. I will always remember how he made me feel welcomed. Their billing department is completely unfair and unreasonable. They conduct “reviews” and once that’s done they tell you it’s been denied and you’re still responsible for the balance with no way to appeal. They give you no insight as to how the review is completed so it’s your word against the provider (the provider is always going to win). Pediatrics department is awful!!! Dr rupp and Dr. Schleifer will completely waste your time!! Do yourself and kids a favor and find another pediatrician. This place has gone downhill since silverberg stepped back.
