I’m unsure why there are so many mixed reviews, it made me a bit nervous to go here when I was having pain on my right side of my abdomen. I met with Dr. Charles O’Connell, he did everything necessary to make sure I was okay and I was there less than 3 hours. Overall everyone there was pleasant, the check in process was quick, and the doctor himself didn’t rush to get me out of there like most urgent care doctors do.

Scripps has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I’ve been in pain for over a week with a fracture, and despite repeated calls, they still haven’t provided the care or urgency I needed. Their system is slow, unresponsive, and it feels like patients are treated as numbers, not people. When I asked for help, I was brushed off and left waiting in pain. I had a really positive experience here. The doctor prescribed me a medication that wasn’t specifically for sleep, but once the pain was relieved, I was finally able to rest much better. I later received a referral to see an orthopedic doctor, which helped move my care forward. Overall, I felt listened to and taken care of, and I appreciate the thoroughness of the visit. Highly recommend Torrey Pines Urgent Care.

I was really disappointed with my visit here. I saw the doctor fairly quickly, but then he was called away and never followed through on what I needed. I asked for a referral for my ongoing wrist pain and never got it. I also asked for something safe to help with sleep since the pain keeps me up, but was sent home with nothing. To make things worse, they even charge for parking, which feels silly late at night when the lot is empty. For the cost, this just wasn’t worth it. Lies after lies, they comfirmed i will see a doctor at urgent care versus PA with 35 minutes wait. It has been two hours and i have been told another 30 minutes at least if no other more urgent shows up. Good that when they asked about allergy, i said i am allergic to lies. This is the 2nd time i leave urgent care. Last time was Dec for xray and i never needed one. So maybe it is for good reason. It is awful, unacceptable.
