I write this review because I have learned to rely on them. I am a high risk patient at Scripps due to prior breast cancer. I'm not sure if Scripps is required to have a 5-year follow-up with an oncologist, but they have never done follow-ups on me, unless I request them. In 2025, I noticed a lump in the right side of my chest, where I had breast cancer. In December 2025, my PCP ordered an ultrasound. The lack of professionalism at this location is honestly alarming. I called to schedule a STAT PET scan for my husband using an outside order from his oncologist in LA. I was initially told it would take 24 hours to process, which was fine. When I followed up the next day, I was told the doctor used the wrong form and that the correct one would be faxed to him. This place feels like a scam. I recently moved here from out of state. I scheduled an annual physical exam, but they refused to perform the exam, claiming that the first visit was only to “establish care.” The casual conversation with a doctor cost me $350 after insurance payment, I was explicitly told that the second visit would count as the annual exam and be fully covered by my insurance. Went to urgent care where the staff and nurses were wonderful until Dr Johnson walked in, tried to push a test on a minor that was declined by the child, got angry at the mom for advocating for her son and stormed out suggesting she (physician) needs to calm down.
