Dr. Scrimenti neglected to do a VERY popular blood test and it left me crippled for the rest of my life. I saw him from 1987 to 2012.....many years. But he really hurt me. I don't understand why he didn't test me.
Took care of my migraines. Helps me with my back problems. Truly a pleasure. It's like you have a friend who is a doctor! Caring and empathetic. Wonderful!
Dr. Scrimenti has been my neurologist for many years because of back and neck problems. He is excellent. He is understanding, compassionate, a good listener and extremely knowledgeable. I enthusiastically recommend him to everyone!

I find Dr. Scimenti to be an excellent doctor because he listens to his patients. Several years ago I sought Dr. Scimenti's counsel because of a problem I was having with my lower back. I had an laminectomy on my herniated disc 20 years ago and I feared I was a candidate for full fusion surgery. Dr. Scrimenti suggested a book that provided examples of back strengthening exercises which would, if successful, build up the muscles around the lower back and ease my pain. It was successful.
Dr. Scrimenti spends an appropriate amount of time. He respects my concerns and doesn't make light of my issues. He is empathetic. He also makes clear as to the effects of a medication. Dr. Scrimenti always returns my call promptly. He is never condescending when I have a question.
Dr. Scrimenti has incorrectly diagnosed several of my family members resulting in their steady decline. He pushed heavy pain killers on them instead of searching for the root of the problem and actually helping them get well. I would avoid this Dr. at all costs. His staff is also incredibly rude.
