I bought a 2024 240 XSF. It is a very nice boat with excellent build quality. There was an issue with leaking cushion receivers. They had not been caulked. Scout said they would do whatever it takes to address the issue. They authorized the dealer to come to my dock and replace all the receivers and bed them in caulk. So Scout stands behind their boats.
Great company to work with. Beautiful boats, kind staff and they are always willing to help.
I bought a brand new 2023 Scout 355 LXF w triple Merc 400 Verados and this boat has been a DISASTER. They sold me a boat with a LEAK in it. I've now had the boat 2 yrs and IT STILL HAS A LEAK. I've had it in at least 8 times for this problem to their dealer network, and Scout has been NO help in finding/fixing it. They also sold me a boat with a defective bilge pump system. UPDATE: Wow. I received an immediate response from Scout Customer Service (Adam Young) regarding my Google review. He pointed out the warranty details about one year labor + 2 years parts. But as a goodwill gesture, he offered all the parts needed ship to me and to cover some of the labor expenses. I really appreciated the quick response and willingness to solve the problem. I bought a 2024 240 XSF. It is a very nice boat with excellent build quality - mostly. The low rating is to draw your attention to what is either an unfortunate design feature, or a lack of customer service, or both. I noticed my lockers and coffin box were getting a lot of water in them and anything I put in there was getting moldy. I found that the receivers where the cushion posts attach to the hatch covers were leaking badly. I sent Scout pictures and video of water leaking through the receivers.
