I’ve lived at Scott Villa for 2 years now and have had a very positive experience from beginning to end. Ellie in management is very friendly and willing to help. Jose in maintenance is a gem, he’s always taken good care of any issues and is a joy to say hello to around the building. The community feel around the building is lovely, especially around holidays. Place is beautiful and peaceful but many tenants feel like they are a little too intense with their rules. They will peer into your patio to then tell you it’s a mess in a formal complaint, noting that three formal complaints can lead to lease cancellation. Feels intrusive, & we’d prefer if they scheduled a check-in or something where they can have a look and discuss needed changes then. We’ve been living here for three years and always pay our rent on time without delays. Unfortunately, the management keeps changing the rules. When we first moved in, having a grill was allowed (not not a charkl but a gas one)but now it’s suddenly prohibited. We have a decent patio size, but in reality, we can’t even use it the way we expected when signing the lease. It’s disappointing to see restrictions increasing, especially with threatening notices to their paying tenants.
I was able to easily schedule a tour of the property, only to show up the day of and no one was in the leasing office. We only got inside because an Amazon driver let us in. We waited in the lounge area for half an hour. No one was in the leasing office, and I could not get a hold of anyone via email or phone. It's been 1 week and I never received a follow-up or any explanation.
They finally have a manager who bring common sense, respect, and care
