Dr. Soot was very cordial and conveyed a true interest in remedying my hernia condition. He even shared Laplace's Law as it applied to physiology: the abdominal pressure (relating to any hernia repair) being proportional to the diameter of one's abdomen, to explain that the greater the girth, the more likely a hernia repair might fail long-term.
