Beware- Scott Deckelbaum is riding the tail of our beloved Dr Altman who retired. The door states Altman Dermatology, phone number is the same, front desk staff same and stated same insurance still accepted. They only charged me my copay. Turns out insurance denied because Altman Derm is not Dr Altman anymore. I agreed to pay what the insurance would have paid but now being billed twice that. I am re-evaluating Dr Deckelbaum. He is an awesome doctor. He made my dad very comfortable for his Mohs surgery. He thoroughly explained his options and did a nice job on the surgery. However, the office staff in the back never told him we were there and had to wait 2 hours. I have heard and experienced similar situations with the staff there when visiting other doctors in that office. Doctors are great, front staff is wonderful, but the back needs to go.
