It took about 4 weeks to get an appointment and that was stressful but once the appointment was booked I never had a long wait in the waiting room before seeing Dr Fleischauer. Dr Fleischauer has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever seen. He spends a lot of time with you and answers every question you have while never rushing.
Dr Fleischauer was recommended by my GI doctor after an initial diagnosis of esophageal carcinoma. Although I went to UT Southwestern for surgery and radiation, Dr F oversaw the complete treatment, including chemo, and continues to monitor my status 7 years post-treatment to assure no further cancer recurrence.
I was referred to Dr. Fleischauer by my gastroenterologist. I had recently had several health problems that might indicate some kind of cancer in my body. Dr. Fleischauer impressed me in so many ways. He is warm and caring, very thorough in his testing of possible problems, and explains everything- answering all my questions and not being in any hurry to move on to the next patient.
