Dr. Duncanson is a paradox. He is obviously skilled as a clinician and knowledgable. However, as others have noted, his people skills leave much to be desired. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder and is typically cocky, a bit dismissive, and not highly skilled in understanding the sensitivities of the patient. Now that he is CEO of SIMED and only practices once a week, I hope that his people skills do not have anegative effect on morale.
There is no rating low enough for this doctor. I wouldnt want him to treat my dog, much less another human being. He has no social skills and I wonder about his medical skills. He saw my mother on a day she had been given DISCONTINUED medication, and did NOTHING ~ no blood test (which would have shown the distress she was in).....nothing ~ just let her go EVEN seeing that I had to have a wheelchair to take her to the car.My Mother died that night. I saw Dr. Wilson for a finger laceration which I had received while working. Dr. Wilson fixed me up right and I was back to work in no time. He explained everything to me so I knew what I needed to do on my end. If it werent for Dr. Wilsons understanding of workers compensation and my type of injury, I could have missed more work but I was back on my way to earning a living. I now tell all of my friends to go to First Care of Gainesville if they ever need fast, friendly service...these folks are grea
As a health professional from a family of physcians and pharmacists I have never felt compelled to make a complaint to a medical board. Dr Scott Wilson is the exception! With 2 full thickness tears in my right shoulder (later diagnosed by a competent physcian), my complaint was ignored and rudely dismissed. I was loudly and crudely admonished for requesting pain intervention on an acute basis. I found Dr. Dunkanson lacking in people skills. I also did not agree with his prognosis of taking me off a medication without first having run the necessary test to make sure it would be safe to do so. I will not return to him for treatment.
