Nothing but problems every step of the way. I wanted to open a new preferred package debit card with the deal and the bank lady Bagga argued with me that there is no deal and rudely interrupted and asked me multiple times if I am a newcomer to Canada where’s my passport, I had to open scotiabank website to show her the deal before she let me open the account. Yesterday, I had a deeply upsetting experience when I went to deposit $5000 into my friend’s account at Scotiabank. I was treated extremely poorly by the staff, who displayed blatant racism. The teller immediately began questioning me about where I got the money from and why I was transferring it to my friend, despite me being a customer and providing all the necessary documents and I even informed them, my friend has mentioned a note on his account that “he is expecting some funds from me”.
