I will not be banking at Scotiabank on Courtland again. One staff was so rude. She refused to provide information on a wire transfer that she had made on my behalf. The branch manager does not return phone calls. Someone canceled my wire transfer when I told them not to. My money is missing and I have no idea where it is. Scotiabank on Courtland has no idea where it is or when it will be returned to my account - and I can only get information from the Branch where the wire transfer was made. Honestly giving 1 star solely for my awful experience with the advisor Mr Asif Ilyas. I strongly advise against working with Asif at. My experience with him revealed a shocking level of incompetence paired with an incredibly unprofessional attitude. He completely botched basic tasks and clearly lacked attention to detail regarding my accounts , e.g., misplacing my paperwork. Asif was not the most kind individual. Did not seem to want to help us and talked over us. Also made negative comments regarding my own employment without seeking clarification. Unfortunate experience.
At this branch I spoke with Melissa in person trying to exchange $83 US to Canadian I was denied because I don’t have an account with them only Tangerine. This branch deserves a zero rating because when I told Melissa I was going to write a 0 review she said “ok that’s ok”. Customer service is not their strong suit. No wonder I closed my Scotia account years ago because of stupid things like this
