It was not even 4:30pm and they were closed, staff was standing inside ( chit chating) . The google map says 5pm . Does this branch runs on its own? Better change the google map timings or the staff

I had a simple request: replace my debit card. I had all the proper identification and assumed this would be quick and straightforward. Instead, I had to visit three different Scotiabank locations just to get it done. How is it possible that such a basic task is this difficult? Every time I need to go to Scotiabank, I prepare to waste at least two hours because, without fail, I end up bouncing between locations. Multiple locations, multiple problems, and no solutions. The branch closes at 5. Pina kicked me out at 4:55 as they were ‘closing’, but as mentioned they’re open another 5 minutes. Extremely rude encounter. My client obviously showed up at 5:02 and they wouldn’t help. I’m disappointed in the customer service. 10-15 minutes is one thing, but being kicked out 5 minutes before close and then not helping 2 minutes after 5 PM deserves a review like this.

The customer service here is bad. I was coming in to open an account and had made an appointment. When I arrived, a man who I think was the branch manager told me my advisor had called in sick and he had been calling me to try and tell me. My phone had no missed calls and he asked if it was a number starting with a different area code from mine. He glossed over that when I told him that was not my number and told me I would need to come back. I asked if other branches could help and he said that I could drive around but it's... read more
