Extremely unprofessional and patronizing experience. When I asked a simple technical question about a deposit failure, a senior supervisor (man in 50s) responded with a mocking "rant" and sarcastic analogies. To make it worse, the younger teller stood there laughing at the exchange. Staff could use some customer service training.
Pull your money out, NOW! Please read for your own safety. This was one of the most frustrating, intrusive, and poorly handled banking experiences I’ve ever had. I first went to the downtown branch to increase my in-store debit purchase limit and spent about 25–30 minutes there, only to be told at the very end that they couldn’t approve the full amount and that I needed to go to my home branch. Not just this branch all of them I find the entire Scotiabank is infested with incompetence. You can’t go to a branch for service, you have to go to your exact home branch. God help you if you have trouble out of town travelling. Imagine being on vacation They are a nightmare, even if you get to your home branch. Too much to cover
I didn't even step foot into this branch and the number of red flags is alarming. I set up an appointment a week ago online for today. 4 hours prior to the appointment I get an email from the agent I am meeting with that says my meeting with them is cancelled and to respond to this email or call. I emailed and got no response so I booked a meeting at another branch only to see online that the original meeting was not cancelled. I cancelled it myself.
