I can only say good things about Dr. Scot Richardson. He was always there for my deceased husband, diagnosed him right on with a very rare Parkinson's disease (Shy-Drager syndrome). When things got bad, he did take my calls after hours. You might have to wait a little in the waiting room, but it is worth it because when it is your turn he takes his time and listens (lots of doctors do not do that). I'm now seeing Dr. Richardson myself and I know I'm under the best care possible. And trust me, h
I've been treating my migraines with Dr. Scot Richardson he is always there and never turns me away. He knows what to do... And my pain is mild and sometimes it goes away in 2-3 weeks. When I call for help he's always there, along with the girls working for him. Other doctors take 10-15 minutes and will see you next 2-3 weeks, Dr. Richardson takes his time to help. He talks to you, pays attention to you, and listens. I have been a pt. since 1-25-2012, that tells you he's great.
Dr. Richardson is competent for my MS needs. I particularly appreciate his thoroughness with testing, evaluation. The problem I have with his service is his office staff. Over the years, and most currently, staff personnel changes consistently, is untrained in their responsibilities, does not follow through with his orders, and, has no follow through to me. I have been Dr. Richardson's patient for eight yrs at least. Am seriously contemplating a change. Sad.
Husband was in the hospital- tried reaching out to him to get his opinion on a med hospitality wanted to start that I read had permanent neurological side effects- dr Richardson never called back. Missed an appointment because husband WAS in the hospital and the office billed us $175.00 for missed appointment. Tried calling the office to explain but receptionist is epically rude! Terrible experience and other people who go to him say the same- he is all about the money.
I would not recommend this doctor. He was very aggressive, pushy, tried to use fear to manipulate me, and didn't listen to what I said.
He was condescending & so tragically lacking in knowledge on things a neurologist should be familiar with. Truly one of the the absolute worst doctor's visits EVER. (and I later coincidentally ran into someone who had a parallel experience to mine. If your symptoms don't fit in with his preconceived notion of what he THINKS you should have, he results to name-calling and extremely unprofessional behavior.) I would give him zero start if that were an option, because he was not a health provider!
Office was disgusting. The pillow on the exams table had nickel sized old blood stains on them, along with questionable stains on the chairs in the room I was seen in. Dr Richardson is rude, and blunt, and could use some help with bedside manner.
