Every call you make to this place requires answering about 10-15 questions with a robot, and a 10 minute hold. When they pick up you will get a sales pitch. Strongly suggest not even calling. I found an orthopedic who answered the phone right away, and booked a next day appointment. You guys have gotten WAY to carried away with AI.
I came here to see Dr. Bryce Johnson for a second opinion since I was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy. I mostly wanted to get a second opinion on what to do because my first neurosurgeon, whom I saw, just said to go to physical therapy for now, and that's it. Apparently other people have scheduling issues but at least for me, when I called the number on the website, I'm usually able to get someone to take my call for appointments only after a little bit and they're pretty responsive even through text messages. Having visited the SCOS Fountain Valley facility for several years, I have always been impressed with the front office staff, the medical assistant staff and of course their Doctors. I have received exceptional medical support from Dr Jeffrey Wong for shoulder and knee care, as well as from Dr Bryce Johnson for spinal care. I had a co-pay during my recent visit w Dr Kim, and several days later I noticed another charge on my cc for the same amount. I spoke to the billing department and was explained that the "system" charged my cc again because it couldn't locate my original payment? And that I would need to call back 4-5 weeks to ask about a refund check! I asked to have my cc info removed from their "system". I waited over an hour for an appointment that lasted 5 min with the doctor and now this?! Check your statements!
Don't waste your time and money going here!! My experience with SCOS was horrible. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly, which was a positive, however, when I arrived, getting to the reception area was suffocating. The waiting room was completely full and after I was checked in, I had to wait in the lobby of the bldg for over 1-1/2 hours, for a scheduled appointment.
