Since 1970's, when first seated at this restaurant, coming from New England and East Coast fishing villages, this is the only place we consider a "must". We have stayed in town at hotels, bed and breakfast inns, wherever, but always make Scoma's our special dining. A visit to Fisherman's Wharf and this restaurant will leave you with lifetime memories and dreams of a return. Sometimes it is lunch hour, for a leisurely cioppino treat, best ever, served with sour dough bread, and more seafood than one can hope for! My husband's family lived in the Bay area for years, and we were directed to this spot, look for it down at the pier as signs are small. This restaurant caters to return visitors, not on the tourist recommended sites, but locals rate it best. Hope you enjoy it. Now in North Carolina where we have some good seafood also, but this is the place to really feel like you are in San Francisco.
