Terrible service. Purchased an overpriced MM24 thru them and it arrived damaged. It was the worst packing job I have ever encountered in over 40 years of shipments. Getting replacement parts has been a nightmare and I have encountered finger pointing between the Manufacturer (SCM) and Elite Metal Tools. Neither company responds to multiple emails and it was only when I finally resorted to filing a claim with my CC company that I even received 1 of the multiple parts that were damaged. I've been a customer of SCM for over 20 years, I get no favors, just another guy using the equipment they make to feed my family, They're not cheap but they are responsive and professional. Every time I've needed parts I've had them at my door post-haste. Every time I've called I've got to speak to a native English speaker who is knowledgeable about the machines I own.
spoke to Alicia in parts, she has always been very helpful trying to find parts for our machine's doesn't try to rush you just to get off the phone. employees like that are hard to find thanks and keep up the good work!
We've had a very disappointing experience with the communication and customer service we've received from the SCM Group. After multiple attempts to reach them over the past few months, they have not responded and the piece of equipment we purchased over 7 months ago is still not fully functional. We were promised they would make things right for us but we have yet to see any improvements or cooperation from their team.
Took 3 days of me calling to reach anyone that could help me. Had to call and ask for a different department to speak to someone in parts department for me. Ridiculous. If you want to buy a machine and then be totally ghosted if you have any questions or need parts, sure use these guys. Otherwise I’d steer very clear.
