Came into my SnS today and realized they rearranged reception to next to the bar. Very inconvenient and made the bar feel crowded especially when 3-4 guests were trying to check in. They put a table with two chairs is the large area where reception used to be (ie no purpose). They no longer have a POS system and keep track of drinks on laminated cards that cover the right side of the bar. Not sure what happened but I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. I had been growing my hair out every since the pandemic started with the end goal being to donate. It was nerve-wracking to finally pull the trigger. The second I walked in, the friendly receptionists and cozy atmosphere helped ease my tension. Upon meeting my stylist, James, his warm demeanor solidified to me I made the right choice. I have been going to Scissors & Scotch since before they officially opened. Literally. I started going about a month before the shop opened and have been getting my hair cut every other week ever since. Over the years, barbers have changed, but that was due to growth and promotion, not poor service. The staff has always been the reason this place worked.
