About this business

Scioto Gardens grows perennials, ferns, grasses, trees and flowering shrubs with an emphasis on native plants. But their passion for plants couldn't be limited to only native species, so exotics are also grown-- provided they are not species detrimental to our environment. Handcrafted garden art and sculptures by prominent area artists are also available for sale. If you’re looking for native Ohio plants, this is well worth a visit. Their plants were healthy and well cared for. They were readily available to answer questions too. I bought 4 varieties of plants, and I recommend them.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! They specialize in selling native plants and I wish there were more nurseries like them around! We are having our non-native yew bushes removed in the front of our home and we purchased 5 native bushes to take their place. Can’t wait to see the new changes!

Wonderful nursery for native plants with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Denise walked the grounds with me and even helped pull the wagon & load my car as I wrangled my two sons!
