Coolest place to eat!! Quaint, tiny like it was 100 years ago. Cole slaw is the best! German potato salad even better.
Drove over an hour to get there. Closed for maintenance. Would have been nice to put that on the website! Shame on me for not calling. Won't happen again.
Yes it is expensive but it is authentic. The beef on weck at Schwabls reminds me of the kind that my grandmother and her family fixed when I was little.
I stopped on a Thursday for lunch and since the weather wasn't great, I was the only person in the restaurant. I had an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and we had great conversation about everything! The beef on weck sandwich special was perfect. The roast beef was perfect. Fries were perfect so was the coleslaw. The horseradish at the table is some of the freshest and best I've ever had. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's a step back in time and I loved every minute of it. A true gem.
