Overall the food was very good. Great batter on the fried scallops, sides were good, some of the best coleslaw I’ve had in years... But being born and raised in NEW ENGLAND, their New England clam chowder is seriously lacking.. 🤷🏻♀️ Everyone down here advertises “award winning” or “the best” NE clam chowder, and sadly Ale House is the only place down here that’s even close...
Small and busy place. The shrimp dinner special was good but nothing out of the ordinary. We had a 30 minute wait for a party of 11 on a Saturday night. Our server did great tending to our party.

Awesome, awesome service, place was clean and neat as a pin. Food came quick, had the fried seafood combo oysters and scallops both were big and fresh tasting but breading was a bit bland and heavy for my liking to the point it would just fall off in chunks. Fries were bland frozen crinkle cuts. Girlfriend doesn’t do seafood she got the sirloin good cut nicely cooked. Meals are all plenty of portion for the money and you get the choice of two sides as well as a dinner salad. Homemade ranch was awesome. I would return again!
We live in Charleston, S.C. But always go out of our way to eat at the Schooner whenever we are in Florida! Everything I have ever eaten there was fantastic! There is usually a wait, but it is well worth it. Nice people, Great food and service! Love the place!
The greatest seafood and so fresh. Our waitress Carly was simply amazing.
What an awesome restaurant! Shrimp is outstanding and prices are so affordable. The prime rib is out of this world!!! The 2 for 1 drinks after 4pm is the topper and we recommend to every person that lives here in town and all visitors. Jerry Folckemer
