Nice, and not badly priced – We took a family vacation to VA Beach and stayed at the Schooner Inn. The person at the front desk was friendly when we checked it. Our room was clean and fit the 4 of us just right. The staff was helpful when asked questions. And the view from out balcony was amazing! We are planning on going back again next yr. And will be staying at the Schooner Inn as long as they have rooms =)
Bring a crow bar – The owner is so cheap he refuses to invest in some new "room keys". You will be hard pressed getting into your room with the old worn-out keys. Also, the elevators have been "under repair" since May of 2005. You WILL get stuck in them if you use them enough. The staff will laugh when you mention it. Otherwise, after being checked into a occupied room upon arrival, then shown to our proper room, the place was nice. Too bad the place is being managed by school children and the owner couldn't care less.
