Best diagnostician in the city, and it’s not close.
This doctor is one of the best thorough doctors I have seen. The office staff is very accommodating. Even between all patients they are juggling they made time for me. Called in an immediate CT and rushed testing. Don’t be fooled by other reviews. People seem to lose their patients when someone has been doing this for so long, just wants to cut through the flush and get to the source of your problem. More than 10 years ago I called for an appointment with one of his partners. They told me they parted ways but Dr Schnitman would be glad to see me and he was great. At my appointment, it wasn't Dr. Schnitman but some intern, or assistant who was so nervous, sweaty and insecure he made me scared for my safety. I love Dr. Schnitman for being so thorough and getting to the bottom of any and all ailments I've ever had as someone who suffers from asthma and vocal polyps and often chronic sinus issues. However, my 20 year relationship with him will no longer be happening because his current dismissive, rude way of communicating overshadows any bit of his brilliance and care. This is he worst experience I have ever had with a Dr! He was rude, aggressive and impatient. I was quoted $225 as a repeat patient, but he used another machine on me and my total went to $515! I was never informed the the extra machine would be an extra charge. I went in for "massive" nose bleeds; he did not even cauterize my nose, which my subsequent Dr. did; he just told me to use a humidifier. My 33 year old daughter was kind enough to accompany me; she is a tough cookie, however she almost bolted from the room in tears!... read more
