My 11 year old grandson suffered a laceration on his knee which was deep enough to require stitches while we were visiting St. Thomas. We were at your facility for 5 hours prior to receiving the necessary care (4 stitches). The facility is not clean. There was only 1 functioning light in the waiting room. Security was not present even though a drug seeking paranoid patient was causing issues in the waiting room for a majority of the time we were there. Rude front desk. Condescending staff. Doctor was helpful. No sense of urgency.
Zero urgency. Waited so long (hours and hours) I ended up leaving…with a broken foot. In that time, not one person had gone back and zero info on a timeline. Extremely poor service. Extremely poor staffing. Extremely poor management. This is honestly one of the biggest failures I have ever seen. With the money that flows on this island there should be zero excuses.
I’ve been here a few times and was always impressed by the nursing staff. Triage nurse Brianna was especially excellent and efficient. She got the sickest people taken care of first and got me in a timely manner.
