Dr. Schmieg is outstanding in every way. She has an excellent bedside manner, she’s always willing to listen, and has extensive medical knowledge. She’s honest and if she needs another expert’s opinion, she doesn’t hesitate to recommend someone. I feel that Dr. Schmieg genuinely cares about each of her patients and wants the best for them. I just got off the phone with Dr. Schmieg and I am not sure I have had a more unpleasant interaction in my life. I am sick with covid and was hoping to get prescribed Paxlovid. She was the on-call doctor. She refused my request point blank and without listening to my concerns, told me my husband's doctor was not following medical guidelines for prescribing it for my husband, and would not let me get a word in edgewise. I would like to thank Dr. Schmieg for taking great care of my mom. You are a Godsend to my family. Your expert care and professionalism makes a profound difference in your patients' lives.
Dr. Schmieg is great. She is thorough, careful, and kind. I have been seeing her regularly for years and I don’t think she’s been wrong more than once, and that doesn’t really count because she sent me to specialist to confirm or deny her suspicions. If you want a doctor who really seems to care about you and knows their stuff, go with Dr. Schmieg. My only complaint is that she often runs late.
