They "serviced" the elevator on Tuesday & three days later is wasn't functioning. Broke down late Friday afternoon & has trapped us all in our units all night. An "urgent" call was put into Schindler's & at the time of writing (11.15pm) nothing has been done to rectify an issue that either should have been fixed at the time of the service or caused inadvertently by Schindler's at the time of the service. Terrible terrible service and don't deserve their customers' money. I called Schindler's emergency number out of hours two weekends ago in the middle of the night as our lift smelt of smoke and its alarm was going off continuously. The woman who answered the phone was rude and dismissive and groaned at me, telling me she didn't want to be on the phone in the middle of the night. I spoke with someone named JOEL when I called to report a fault with our lift. I called three times, and he disconnected the call each time. It appears that both the quality and the service have declined...

I’m surprised they have over one star. I’m not alone in this. This company is beyond ridiculous. They should be put on the shame list on Current Affairs and ACCC lists. They claim to have a service commitment, but they don’t deliver. The “E” in “ETA” stands for “estimate,” WITH NO “ESTIMATE” What’s left in their commitment? Honestly, I think giving Schindler Lift even one star is too generous. I live in Sydney, and our apartment building has two elevators. In the past three months, they’ve broken down more than seven times, and I remember that about half of those times, at least one of them was completely out of service. When they do break down, they’re never fixed right away — the repair time takes anywhere from one day to as long as fifteen days.
