I have nothing to do with the company and have only noticed their poor service which I think potential customers should know about. The Schindler escalator at IKEA Philadelphia has been out of order for at least two months, more likely three. Imagine installing something as critical and expensive as a Schindler escalator, it breaks, and it sits broken and unusable for months. Now in mid-February they have removed the whole elevator, I guess to recondition it off site. Just keep in mind if you buy one of these escalators the ... read more

I have had interactions with a lot of subcontractors (plumbers. electricians, elevators etc) My interactions with Adam Moorhead (and Gerry K -my on site guy) are top notch. Both are responsive and understand the issues with an elevator going out of service in a one elevator building. They try to prevent these issues before they happen. If you do business with Schindler Elevators & Escalators in the Philadelphia/Delaware region, I highly recommend that you ask to have Adam as your rep.

I have nothing to do with the company and have only noticed their crap service which I think potential customers should know about. The Schindler escalator as IKEA Philadelphia has been out of order for over a month. Imagine installing something as critical and expensive as a Schindler escalator, it breaks, and it sits broken and unusable for a month, going on two months?....longer? Will it ever be fixed? It's a crap company and bad management if they don't have replacement parts on hand and technicians to fix things. If you... read more

The worst elevator on the market. Two buildings built with Schindler elevators. Monthly breakdowns. Service that takes 48-72 hours. Latest out of service, it worked for a few hours after it was fixed and then went out and now I have to wait one week before a tech can come out. Unbelievable. We have elderly and disabled, I don't understand in what world this is acceptable. As we speak our third building will have 2 elevators and we are in the process of re-bidding to any other manufacturer than Schindler. Seriously, do not pu... read more
