We moved into an apartment building in Boynton Beach 12/2024 and since being here, the elevator has been not functioning at least 5 separate occasions. It is currently not functioning and it’s been two days. They state that Schindler is sending their people out to fix but nothing seems to get truly resolved. This is happening to multiple elevators in our buildings. Do not use this company! Updated: from the beginning of 2026 their elevator has been down 7 times (that I’ve documented). An absolute atrocious elevator company
Our elevator in our 4 year building has been out for months. According to them, they don’t have the parts. How can a company that size not have parts for a new elevator?
What do you do when the people who oversee their Customer service don’t respond? And we have a Service Contract with Schindler. Disgraceful!
Schindler may be the worst elevator company I have ever encountered. I have been doing Property Operations for the last 30 years and I have never encountered a company that values there customers less then Schindler. Run to not walk away. If you are in a contract an attorney now and begin to document their poor service. If you need to hire a consultant do that too.
My experience with Schindler has been excellent, in comparison to other elevator companies, one key item for success as a customer is to make a decisions to do small upgrades for example, door operator, and moving parts package, since they get the most abused by end users maybe add a the COP (the buttons). Elevator companies business core is to respond to service calls reset your elevator and move to the next customer, they are not big on trying to sell you new parts or upgrade the elevators, maybe they lack of that business... read more
