Going downhill – I had gone to Hillside many years ago with our family pets while our kids were growing up. I had great experiences with Kaye Brown and Gayle Salmon. Very very compassionate women. My kids got me a new puppy so I decided to go back to Hillside. I was told Dr. Kaye sold the business to M. Shilling. When I arrived there was a mousy woman at the counter that just looked at me. Hillside Vet is great! – I have been going to Hillside Vet Hospital for many years. I love Dr. Brown and have always felt like I get 100% of her attention. She has always been spot on with her diagnosis. I have had to wait on occasion for my appointment, but I don't mind. If there is an emergency I would rather wait until that is taken care of. Not what it used to be – When I first went to Hillside in 2002 I was very impressed with their operation. Dr. Brown loved cats and I could see and sense her concern and caring. I have since changed veterinarians because of several bad experiences. 1- At every appt I spent 15-30 minutes waiting to be seen, 2- I was 20 minutes late once due to failed attempts to get my cat in her carrier and I was told I was out of luck and they were too busy to see me and told me to reschedule, 3- Another cat was losing weight and Dr Schillin... read more
Not all that impressed – I have taken my animals to Hillside Vet for 30 years. Dr.'s Brown and Salmen were wonderful, understanding and loved their patients. The younger vets they have working there now just aren't as intellegent or professional as the previous vets. I recently had my elderly cat in to see Dr. Schilling who seemed dingy and then saw Dr. Domen for a re-check who was rude and didn't seem very compassionate. saved my Dahlia – We have recently started to take our new kitten to Hillside. When we got her from the shelter she contracted a deadly virus called distemper. Dr. Shilling litterally saved my cat. After a few days my cat went from near death to almost fully recovered. She still has some recovering to do but at least we know she is going to live. This experience was so traumatizing for us, except for the fact that not only did the staff at hillside take amazing care of us, they only charged us for a fraction of the procedure... read more
most caring and compassionate vets. – dear pet lovers ... i have been seeing dr. brown for over 25 years and 3 dogs. she delivered our family's first dog, and i have loved her ever since. although her schedule is more limited now, i still will see any of the vets there and plan on having many more pets to come! thank you to everyone on their staff. sincerely, crs.
We love Hillside!! – Our dad has taken us to see Dr. Michelle Schilling since we were puppies. We LOVE her! She takes the best care of us and we can't wait to see her. Yes, that is right we LOVE to go to our vet. She give us treats and kisses every time she sees us. She is a great clinician and gives us the very best care ever. Best Vets Ever – When I read Blackcatmeow's review of Hillside Vet Clinic I thought it was a joke. I have been a client at Hillside for over 15 years. In that time I have had the pleasure of getting to know all of the vets. I have never seen a more dedicated group of people in my life. They are in the profession because of their love for animals and their welfare. I have the utmost respect and confidence in their ability to diagnose and treat any animal. Wonderful Vet Hospital !!!!! – I have taken our family pets to Hillside Vet for the past 20 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have brought a couple of my animals back from the brink of death numerous times. I always feel that they truly care about me and my pets and do their very best in everyway they can.
