I have been going to SMHA for about 8 years now. About 2 years ago, the doctor I had been seeing left. I was told that I would be switched over to a nurse practitioner that was replacing my previous doctor. Ive been waiting quite a while but im past my breaking point. I used to see Dr G- amazing person I loved her so much, when she retired i was jumping from person to person with my meds so no one knew my situation or cared to learn about me. also was jumping from therapist to therapist because they all were leaving. Started going here a few years ago when they were on union and had a good experience, the front desk always got back to me and my visits were always pleasant. Like a few here my psychiatrist also retired so I was told that I would have a new provider, that was fine with me as long as I was getting treatment. Last year I started seeing my new provider and I really liked her but sadly she left the practice a few months later so I was told I would get another new provider. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a psychiatrist and psychologist. One of the doctors there put me on Medicine that I was only to take during anxiety attacks. Come to find out it doesn’t work unless it is taken everyday. So basically they have no knowledge of medicine dosages. They also asked me every time I was there if I was on birth control yet because “I shouldn’t have a kid until I get my mental health in order”.
