I met Dr. Scharf by accident when he needed to attend to the equipment being administered to me at the UofMd Sleep Study Unit. The equipment was malfunctioning and he not only corrected the equipment, but he also actually gave me my FIRST diagnosis of my breathing disorder, that I have been suffering with for 1-1/2 yrs. Dr. Scharf patiently sorted out conflicting sleep study reports and diagnosed my apnea problem. He also helped me get my failed CPAP machine replaced by Bayside, a great medical equipment firm who could not possibly be more helpful. His bio showed lots of teaching at Harvard, many years of clinical experience, medical studies published, etc. Now I am benefitting from that grey hair and his decades of sleep clinic work.
