RecommendedGreat experience there yesterday and today! Don was terrific and helped me choose just the right R/C truck, but more importantly there was a missing toolkit and a shock that wasn’t assembled properly in the box. They immediately fixed both issues with zero hassle and THAT is what you are looking for in a local retailer friends!
I just found this place yesterday, and absolutely love doing business with them already. If you need help with Lionel trains speak with Don or Russel. They are a pleasure to work with and have all the answers. Thanks guys, I will be back!
Friendly staff and they have supplies that you can't get from Michael's, Joann's and Hobby Lobby. Well worth the drive from Hillsboro.

So grateful for Schaefer’s!! I’ve always had good experiences here but I want to highlight them for this last purchase. They let me call, describe the kids, and they made suggestions for Easter basket gifts. They did a great job and made it easy while being safe. We paid over the phone and set up a curbside pickup. Super easy and fabulous customer service. Thank you so much!
There's a reason I've made this my primary hobby shop! The staff are always friendly, and if they're not already helping out a customer, I get a warm greeting from the staff! They have a wide variety of tools and supplies for your hobbies, and if they don't have what you need, they're often times able to order it! Massive props for staying open during these difficult times (I would have gone crazy if they haven't!)!
