One detriment: If you are looking for a dr. who is good @ explaining & educating, he's not the best. Rarely shows x-rays unless you ask questions while looking over his shoulder. Volunteers little information unless you know the right questions to ask at the right time...and how many patients do? Biggest pluses: small office, no impersonal, production-line feel like bigger practices, rarely a wait, & phone questions are often handled @ time of call (tho' it's usually staff putting you on hold, briefly, & giving you the dr.'s... read more

Ordered 2 prs. of orthotics. I was to pay for 1 pr./ insurance the other. They said it would be 2-3 wks. After 7 wks and calls to them @ end of 3 wks, they admitted they had them but were waiting for the insurance to pay and there was a mix up. Mind you, I was still going to pay 1/2 the cost anyway. Then had to wait an hour in the office to get them. I do not advise using them. Poor staff. Poor customer service.

I love Dr. Scales and his staff. They are very friendly and accommodating. I had bunion surgery and I was able to walk within a week without crutches. In three weeks, I am driving. Its heeling perfectly (ofcourse I followed Dr. Scales directions) I would HIGHLY recommend him for any of your foot problems.
