I love Saylor's! The food is delicious, the bar has an extensive selection of cocktails and wine, the wait staff are friendly and the hostess, Susie, is fabulous! I highly recommend going to Saylor's for lunch or dinner!

Great Mexican and American Food – Very good food, both a Mexican and a Continental menu! Strong drinks. Have a designated driver. Delicious very tastey foods. House Margarita uses Cabo Wabo and it's powerful. Huge portions, very friendly older hip Latin services. The place has a good vibe.

Great mix of service and views – I was struck, I am not from CA I'm from Spain, Barcelona and when I was on vacation in San Francisco my Spanish friends, they do live here, recommend me this restaurant. I enjoyed the great food, spectacular service and not tell you the sights, wonderful!!! I recommend it a lot

Good food and great bar! – Just recently had dinner here and it was amazing! We live in SF and wanted to get out of the city for the night and we found Saylor's. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender, who was very nice. We were having so much fun at the bar that we decided to give up our table and stay there and eat. It's kind of cool because the menu has a variety of different kinds of food, you can have Mexican food, or a plate of pasta! We mixed it up and everything we had was delicious. Great place place so cl... read more

User review by oddwad – Excellent food. Pleasantly quiet, even with a full house, allowing easy conversation without raising one's voice. No annoying music to shout over. Paiella was excellent. House is sufficiently heated to be pleasant. Service is very friendly, but difficult to get when the restaurant is busy. Online menu at guernicarestaurant.com is out of date; prices significantly higher on many items. Amazingly, parking was trivially easy saturday eve.

Excellent – I was amazed to read the other reviews on this restaurant. I was just looking it up to return for a special dinner. The food is amazing. The best Paella I have had since Spain. French onion soup and okay salad remind me of living in Europe. The owner does run the restaurant, which can slow it down, but he was great. Picks great wines and really takes the time to understand what you want. If you are looking for another chain rest. this is not it, if you want an old school European real rest. here it is.

Terrible Food! – This was probably the worst food I have ever attempted to eat in a restaurant. We ordered the paella which consisted of canned vegetables and was exceedingly bland. We also ordered an artichoke salad, a vegetable soup and a cream of spinich soup. The artichoke salad was a jar of marinated artichokes without the jar. The vegetable soup was bad Cambell's soup and the cream of spinich was half and half with a little pureed spinich. The worst cook could exceed the quality of food we received.

Rude service, bad food – This was a bad experience - the restaurant was understaffed, the service was rude, and the food was misrepresented. When we ordered our meal, the ONLY waiter (the owner) loudly expressed his frustration that we didn't want salads and wine. The "cassoulet" that eventually came consisted of tough meat, canned cannellini beans, and marinara sauce. The dismal atmosphere made the experience even worse - we couldn't wait to leave. Even Fisherman's Wharf would have been better.

Just Like Home – We were warmly greeted at the door by Gary, the owner, who showed us to our table. He explained the special delicacies and then left us to make the difficulot decissions. Gary suggested the perfect wine to go with our selections. The food is all very good. This is a wonderful place to wine and dine your sweetheart or carry on a conversation with friends. We will return again and again.
