Sawtell is overall one of the best married housing that I have found. It's around $984/month, which is cheap compared to most other places, and that's with everything included! Living space is furnished with a full couch, a 40" TV, a TV table, and a desk. The kitchen has the usual fridge, microwave, stove/oven, and dishwasher. The bedroom includes a queen bed frame and an AC /heating unit. Bedroom also has a full closet that runs the length of the wall. Beware. You will sign a contract and agree to give 90 days notice before you move and if you don’t they keep the whole $500 deposit even if you sell your contract. No exceptions no matter family necessity etc. The reason given is simply that’s what the owner wants. I think it’s a shame as these are young couples paying rent and taking good care of the property. Beware. It’s dirty and makes no sense.
My husband and I loved living here. We stayed for about a year. We would have stayed a lot longer if it wasn't for sudden family health issues and expecting a baby. The apartment is furnished which was awesome for newly weds just getting on their feet. The inside of the apartment is modern looking and has newer appliances than most places in Rexburg. Sawtell is great with wonderful management! The kitchen is small, but the apartments look new and are well taken care of. You’re also right next to a bike path and grass fields, which is a plus. On-site storage units available for tenant use.
My wife and I have been here for over a year and it has been a great place to live! It is a perfect spot for newly weds and has everything you would really want in a first apartment.
