I have lived at Spruce Court Apartments in Greenfield for about 8 years now (I believe), and it's been great! Maintenance concerns are handled in a timely manner and neighbors are friendly. The apartment complex manager Lisa and the Sawall family have been responsive and helpful with any issues. I can honestly say I have never had a problem with any neighbors, excessive noise at night, theft or robbery concerns, or 'stonewalling' from management on anything I'm concerned about. I have lived in Marshall Apartments for 15 years. Most of that was under the former owners. We had to fight for simple things like hot water and clean common areas constantly and these issues were never resolved. When Sawall bought the building immediately plumbing issues were addressed. Sawall hired janitorial and grounds maintenance personnel and gave them enough hours for upkeep. This year a raised bed for tenants to garden in has become a wonderful community project. DO NOT RENT from these con artists! Bought our apartment building, raised rent without any improvements, harassed our entire building constantly for weed smells that AREN'T THERE. It smells like mildew in our hallway, all day every day. They refused to update our lease and we paid a pet deposit for a pet we don't have for 8 months. Sold the apartment complexes and never updated leases. Left everything an absolute mess. Avoid AT ALL COSTS.
