best thrift store in town Savers always has a huge variety of great items. There is a small amount of worn out stuff you would never buy, but there is even more either brand new or very barely used stuff at wonderful prices. I have been able to find wonderful tops and jeans there as well as items for the house at very reasonable prices. Savers is a must if you're looking for something specific which is hard to find.
If you're hoping the Universe will provide, don't forget to check at Savers I have had the most amazing thrift experiences of my life shopping at Savers. It seems that all I have to do is say out loud, "I'm looking for XYZ" and lo and behold, on my next trip to Savers, there it is. In the past year, I have gotten: a whole new wardrobe for under $100, a huge collection of wooden train set stuff for under $10, cute swim suits for every day of the week, and waaaay too many clothes for my kid and practically every other kid I kn... read more
Nice Finds for the Dedicated If you don't like thrift stores, or don't have the time or patience to hunt for the real gems here, then I wouldn't bother. Savers is a large department store like thrift store, which I find to be a bit cleaner than others in town. My understanding is that they purchase their merchandise from non-profits that take in donations and don't have thrift stores of their own. As with most thrift stores, there is a lot of undesirable stuff here. And on occasion they overprice the items they consider valu... read more
Savers is a great place for children's books It's amazing the quality kid's books that show up at Savers thrift store. You don't know what you're going to find, and you have to go often, but the prices are quite cheap. Often the books are in really good shape, some are practically new. Some folks must not have friends or family to pass books on to when their kids outgrow them. Check out Savers!
Lots of crud If you like goodwill type stores, this will be the mecca of all thrifting. They have so much stuff. You just feel dirty after sifting through it all. I do have to admit, it's nicer than goodwill or salvation army, but it's still a dirty thrift store.
Hundreds of selections! This is a great place to go if you have time. You'll find GREAT bargains for shoes, clothes, household items, and seasonal things.
Hidden finds at Saver's! Aaahhh...this store is my dream come true! They have so many great finds in there, I can spend (literally) hours going through the aisles. This is a great place to shop for clothes for kids...I have a toddler and an 8 year old, and the clothes are always priced well and in great shape. On the weekends, a certain tag color is always marked down 50%. On Monday, everything with that tag color is .99! It is sometimes too good to be true! I have had many wonderful finds there...a brand new Louis Vuitton p... read more
Prices great, selection not. While I did like the reasonable prices, I had a hard time with the selection. Being a plus size person, I did not find much for myself, but my brother was able to find some jeans. But when we got home, he noticed that the jeans were womens jeans, so we had to take them back. Alot of things were mislabeled - as far as jeans were - women's marked as mens and vic versa. I did like the way the store was layed out and things were easy to find, but I don't think I would shop there again.
Saver's can be a godsend! If you are like me, and like to shop, but have a very limited budget, then try Saver's. It's not for the snobby-types, as it is pre-owned clothing and miscellaneous items, but if you don't mind secondhand, then it's great! I have started working in a professional environment, and had to wear something other than tshirts and flip flops for the first time ever. I shopped at Saver's, both the North and South locations, and was able to create an extensive wardrobe of skirts, blouses, shoes, and accessor... read more
