Have had Savages for years old and new and have never been disappointed through quality and accuracy.
Bought a Stevens (Savage) 12GA single shot shotgun model 301 for spring turkey hunting at Mills Fleet Farm. Placed a red-dot sight on the extremely high rail Savage has on this shotgun. After a few shots the rail came loose. When home and added some lock-tight to the screws and tightened the screw on the rail. Waited a week and went back on the range. Shot a few rounds and the rail came loose again. Called Savage and their customer service was horrible - didn't care I was having issues with my new shotgun. I got so fed up I ... read more
Good rifles!
I'm reading a lot of bad reviews.. I have a model 64 with a trigger that isn't working. Customer service said they never heard of the issue before and would like me to ship the gun to them for testing. They receive the rifle Friday morning October 27th at 8am. Google says they are open 24hrs. I call on Saturday and they're closed. I'll check with them Monday. Depending on what they say I'll change this review from one star to five stars. I've heard of one customer that still hasn't gotten his gun back after 3 months.
