Had an issue with my Savage 93r17 HMR which seemed to be light primer strikes due to the firing pin or the hammer spring. Searched for replacement parts which I wasn't able to find, but if I could have it would have been around $15 in repair parts. I came to the realization through my internet search that my best course of action was to contact Savage. I sent them an email and was instructed by Savage that I needed to send my rifle to them. Brought a factory defect/damage issue to their attention the day I picked it up from the store. No response for 5 days and then 'Summer Shutdown', so I will either get a response after day 15 or not at all. Their quality control is obviously terrible. I will never buy a Savage Arms product again.
Extremely disappointed in Savage Arms Axis II Precision (30-06) and the lack of customer service. Best groups I can possibly achieve with this is about 1.4 MOA with the best off the shelf ammo. Meanwhile I can consistently shoot sub MOA with same optics on a cheap semi-auto 22LR Ruger @ 100yds. I can shoot a 50 year old Remington 30-06 hunting rifle about 1.1 MOA.
