RecommendedI took my 4 kids to Sauder in the late 80s and early 90s and came back this week with extended family and one of my daughters...was so pleased to see how it has grown! Wonderful experience!
Beautiful place to visit! We hadn't been there for close to 30 years! They have expanded and still working on more buildings! Had a fun day!
Absolutely a great way to spend a day or weekend. Everything about the facility first off is clean and neat. The entire complex is this way. I have camped here even and everything there was spotless. Camping restrooms tend to be scary places. Not theirs, spotless. The hotel is amazing. The food st the restaurants is mouth watering. Everything inside the village is geared to learning. Great way to spend a summer day with children or grandchildren,
We enjoyed this stop. We thought we would only spend a couple hours here but ended up spending more than 4 hours. My teens and husband really liked watching and learning about the woodworking and crafts. My 6 year old loved the homestead. He got to try out milking a cow on a fake cow then watch a real one get milked. The kids all learned a lot and asked many questions. I was so happy because when mom said we were making an educational stop they grumbled at me. Lol
The grounds are lovely, the artists are talented, the history comes alive, and the food was delicious.
We had an excellent visit! The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly. The inn is gorgeous. The campground was clean with plenty of shade. Very scenic trail.
I must say we learned so much in the 3 hours we were there. Wanted to see more but we ran out of time. There was only one character who we felt wasn’t doing his “job”. As we walked into each building, each person would begin there talk about the trade and what it was like back then. There was only one person that when we walked in we were greeted but then there was silence as we peered around - he asked us twice if we had any questions then when I did so, he made me feel as if it was stupid. Took my daughter in my two grandsons there today had a wonderful time. There was someone in each building to talk and explain the building super nice people. Eat at the restaurant amazing food great service. Great day
