Message from Saturday's Child Resale Shop Saturday's Child is a family owned and operated consignment store. We accept consignments Mon.-Wed. 10-1 on clothes and everyday all day on toys, cribs, furniture, and any large items. We carry maternity, and infants up to size 3 juniors in girls and 14 in boys. Saturdays Child does not follow their own written contract rules! I will not consign there again. I would rather give business to other shops who live up to their contracts for consignment. It was frustrating getting my things back and finally, I just left them and chalked it up to "education".
Terrible Customer Relation Skills My daughter took some very nice boy's clothes to see about consigning them today. They are name brands like Hilfiger, Quicksilver etc & in excellent condition. The Owner was so incredibly rude & arrogant to her that my daughter has sworn never to enter the place again. She will donate the items to charity.
No returns or exchanges on new items!!! A friend bought some of the new cloth diapers they are selling as a shower gift. She included the receipt so I could exchange them for something else if I wanted. Since I'm using a different brand I thought I'd see if they carried those. I called to find out. The owner actually answered the phone and I was shocked at how shady and rude she was. They didn't carry the brand I was looking for so I asked if I could exchange the ones my friend had bought for store credit with the receipt. H... read more
Questionable Consigning - Proceed with Caution I would not recommend consigning items here unless you honestly do not want them back and/or don't expect to make money. I thought it was my experience but after talking to some friends that had also consigned at Saturdays Child it made me somewhat angry.
Saturdays Child is priced too high I have looked there a few times for clothes for my 2 daughters. I have yet to find anything reasonable. If it's not completely out of style, it's priced like it's new. I actually saw a dress there that I had bought my youngest daughter at Walmart...and it was priced at what I paid for the same dress NEW. I just have had NO luck. But at those prices, I might as well shop at Target or Walmart and buy new.
Great prices and clothes Saturdays Child is a great place to both buy and sell childrens clothes. WE have done both through her. She is very particular about the clothing that she takes in...which is a great thing, whether you are buying or selling. She has toys, clothes, bedding, beds, strollers...and if she does not have what you are looking for then check back. She gets more and more each day.
New Owners - major improvement!! This store carries both new and used cloth diapers. They have a great selection of all the latest trends in diapering.
Waste of time I recently got into resale shopping and decided to check into almost every shop in houston & the surronding area. I actually went out of my way driving home to stop by. The location is tucked away not easy to see from the street. I was not impressed with the items I found at all but I do know that their inventory changes daily so if I lived close by I would probably go again I am a glutten for punishment.
Great clothes I have two boys who were born at different times of the year, so the hand-me-down clothes my older son had for my little one didn't fit with the type of weather we were having. So when I fiound this place I thanked my lucky stars. NOt only could I get rid of the clothes I couldn't use but I could get "new" clothes for both my boys. The service is wonderful and the prices even better. I love this place and so do my boys.
