I had a trapeziectomy three years ago. I developed a trigger finger and the remaining fingers were not fully functional. I attended 6 months of physical therapy with a hand specialist. She helped me regain functionality of my three fingers, but the trigger finger remains a painful memory of a failed surgical procedure. I attempted to get a second opinion and was told that the thumb surgery was successful. He was not willing to admit anything went wrong causing the previously unaffected fingers to become nearly nonfunctional.
